Laser certification course for dental hygienists- 8 CE Credits

Tutorial portion and Clincal setting for Hands on portion will be set up with Social Distancing

Instructor: Angie Wallace, RDH has been a clinical hygienist using lasers for almost 30 years.  As an Educator for Academy of Laser Dentistry, she is also the Education Chair and Regulatory Affairs Chair.  She has authored a book on lasers and has been published in several magazines and books.

This course is designed to introduce the novice or potential laser user to the basic scientific principles, safety concerns, and the laser expert to refine their skills and understand the potential uses of a laser in dental hygiene.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand the fundamentals of laser physics
  • Identify laser delivery systems and emission modes
  • Learn laser effects on tissue
  • Feel comfortable using your laser

After attending “Lasers in Dentistry” participants will be ready to implement lasers into their practice on “Monday morning” A hands-on training session is included.

The Academy of Laser Dentistry written exam is an optionaltest that can be taken for an additional $275 payable to ALD.
